Assignment description

Department Information

Enexis is the regional network operator in the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, North Brabant, and Limburg. With our infrastructure, we ensure that millions of customers in the Netherlands have access to electricity and gas. Our employees ensure a safe and reliable energy supply day and night, and also work hard on the sustainability of the energy system in the Netherlands. On the one hand, by connecting wind farms, solar meadows, and charging points for electric transport. On the other hand, by making socially optimal choices with our stakeholders for the energy system of the future.

Our ambition is clear: we are realizing the energy transition in our service area. We do this in close cooperation with our stakeholders. To succeed in this assignment, focus on our core tasks is necessary.

Responsibilities

Within the Operations business unit, the Support department assists the line departments with, among other things, the Project & Program Management (P&P) department. This department is the entry point for all projects and programs within Enexis. The project managers/program managers guide projects and programs that strategically support Enexis's objectives. The department has an open and down-to-earth atmosphere and a drive to achieve impressive and visible results with other Enexis colleagues.

Our mission includes formulating that we want to be a committed, critical partner with courage in advising and sustainably realizing the right changes for Enexis.

Job Description

You ensure that the Project & Program Management (P&P) department continues to work on quality, uniformity, and craftsmanship during the temporary absence of the Process Lead. You ensure continuity and progress: you bring structure to improvements, you keep an overview of the roadmap and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Furthermore, you ensure that agreed-upon developments are actually moved forward.

You connect people and content, ask critical questions, and have an eye for both the strategic direction and the practical feasibility for project managers and program managers. You work within the agreed course and ensure that choices with long-term impact are carefully prepared and decision-making is demonstrably recorded.

As Acting Process Lead, you are responsible during the interim period for the continuity and further development of processes, standards, and working methods within P&P. You monitor the coherence between processes, improvement initiatives, and the strategic objectives of P&P. You keep an overview of the roadmap, set priorities, and make risks and dependencies transparent. You are an important discussion partner for the department manager, cluster managers, project managers, and program managers.

You do not just advise. Within the agreed course, you implement necessary improvements. For choices that are directional for the long term, you ensure a good analysis, a clear proposal, careful decision-making, and recording. At the same time, you continue to invest in the craftsmanship of P&P. You stimulate knowledge sharing, translate experiences and feedback from practice into better standards and working methods, and ensure that processes actually support the work of project managers and program managers.

These are your main responsibilities

Job requirements and wishes

What do you need for that?

You are successful when you manage to achieve progress while simultaneously monitoring the quality of decision-making. You dare to ask further questions and bring structure to complex issues.

At the end of the interim period, the most important improvement initiatives will have been demonstrably advanced, the roadmap and priorities will be up-to-date, relevant choices and decisions will have been demonstrably recorded, and it will be clear which issues still require attention. You ensure a professional handover so that the Process Lead can build upon what has been achieved in the interim period after returning.

Competencies

You are analytically strong and organizationally sensitive and can distinguish well between what is needed now and what requires a directional choice for the long term. You easily switch between strategic issues and operational practice. You listen, create support, and know how to involve people, but you also dare to ask critical questions and discuss risks, uncertainties, or insufficiently substantiated choices. You also combine thinking and doing. You can advise at a strategic and tactical level, but you are also willing to work out proposals yourself and take responsibility for concrete results.

You never lose sight of practice.

Interested? We would like to receive a CV and the following information (without this information, the CV will not be processed):

First possible start date

Availability in hours per week

All-in rate (incl. travel, parking costs and any overnight costs, excl. VAT)
