Project overview

As an advisor, you will support the biodiversity team of the province in the implementation of nature legislation and species protection.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Processing acquired insights into integrated policy advice for the strategic policy officer Nature Legislation
• Preparing policy and implementation decisions for the Provincial Executive
• Monitoring the correct execution of nature legislation together with colleagues, the environmental service, and external parties
• Identifying and interpreting external developments and changing nature legislation within broader assignments
• Mapping risks and consequences of choices, both substantively, legally, and financially
• Representing the province in consultations with other provinces and stakeholders
• Acting as a point of contact for municipalities with questions about species management plans
• Bachelor's or higher education, substantively relevant and successfully completed
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience, gained in the last 7 years, with the application and execution of nature legislation, including species protection
• Demonstrable practical experience with drafting or executing species management plans
• Current knowledge of nature legislation within the Environmental Act, specifically focused on species protection
• Experience with collaboration and advising in an administrative context with co-governments and other stakeholders
• Ability to independently advise on issues related to nature legislation and species protection
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
