Project overview

ATTENTION: This assignment is not available for direct freelance deployment. Deployment can only take place via a secondment agency/supplier or via a payroll/employment contract. The work will be carried out under the leadership and supervision of a public executive organization, therefore independent deployment is not permitted. Offering suppliers must be able to be included in the chain. WAADI registration and a G-account are required for this. Candidates who wish to participate as self-employed entrepreneurs can only be proposed when they are deployed via an authorized secondment agency or employment contract.

ATTENTION: the team meets twice a week in Assen.

Assignment Description

For a project, we are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer who can work independently and can explain to existing developers how best to develop. You have experience with the Angular framework. You solve problems with CSS and HTML rather than JavaScript. You know how to set up a project so that it is as maintainable as possible. You have a strong awareness of accessibility and integrate it into your work.

Background of the assignment

The I&R (Identification and Registration of animals) application is used for the registration of a large part of the agricultural livestock in the Netherlands. The application consists of various channels through which the life cycle of the animals can be reported: an Angular web application, an Oracle Forms backoffice application, and several Java web services. Two applications within the team are due for renewal. One is already in an advanced stage, and the other still needs to be set up. The work takes place within an experienced team that manages and develops multiple applications in an Agile environment.

The team consists of DICTU and RVO employees who together carry out the entire development and management cycle.

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable and recent development experience with Angular.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience with the Agile/Scrum working method.
• Demonstrable experience in reviewing and testing the work of fellow developers in a team.
• Demonstrable knowledge of WCAG 2.
• Demonstrable experience in setting up a new project, with an eye for maintainability. Substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of REST.
• Demonstrable experience with Secure Software Design.
• Candidate can document their own work well and transfer knowledge, substantiated in CV or motivation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Java.
• Demonstrably up-to-date with new developments in tools and frontend techniques.
