Project overview

first assignment will lean more heavily toward platform engineering: platform setup and administration, RBAC and provisioning, SSO, monitoring, managed settings, user documentation, tenant restrictions, IP allowlists, and related operational work.

Longer term, though, this role needs to span both platform engineering and hands-on software development. We support a number of custom-built solutions including an insights dashboard, an AI telemetry event collector, an AI assets marketplace, MCP servers, and other integrations and automation. Because of that, a candidate whose experience is primarily DevOps/infrastructure without meaningful application-development depth will likely be a difficult fit over the longer term

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with Python, Node.js, Java, and/or C#.
• Experience building and integrating APIs and backend services, including REST APIs and integrations with enterprise systems, SaaS platforms, and data sources.
• Experience operating production enterprise platforms, including monitoring/alerting, incident troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and operational documentation/runbooks.
• Exposure to AI application and platform patterns for example, AI APIs/SDKs, MCP, RAG, agentic workflows, MRO principles, and/or enterprise AI platforms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, or Azure AI Foundry. An understanding of AI fundamentals is important, although deep AI expertise isn't required.
