About the function
For the Social Domain Advice team, we are looking for a temporary all-round policy officer with knowledge of the Wmo. The officer is broadly deployable for policy activities within the social domain and will contribute to projects, with an emphasis on the Wmo and collective provisions. It involves a combination of researching, writing, coordinating, organizing, and practically advancing agreed-upon tasks.
Reason and context
Within the social domain, various policy issues and projects require temporary support. Within the Wmo, work is being done on strengthening existing and collective provisions, reducing customized solutions where responsible, and utilizing available resources, including SPUK and AZWA funds. Additionally, there is a need for an officer who can also handle other policy issues within the social domain.
The premise is a broad policy function, not exclusively support for one Wmo project. The officer will work independently on agreed tasks, in close collaboration with the involved policy advisors and implementation. The client remains involved in priorities, guiding choices, and administrative considerations.
Goal of the assignment
The goal of the assignment is to advance policy activities and projects within the social domain. The officer will translate policy issues and research into clear memos, proposals, and actionable steps, and contribute to the preparation of decision-making and implementation. Wmo knowledge forms the substantive basis, alongside broad deployability on other topics.
Assignment description
The officer will support policy advisors on various topics within the social domain. The tasks include researching issues, drafting memos, contributing to regulations and subsidy schemes, supporting subsidy applications, and carrying out project-based work. For this, the officer will maintain contact with colleagues within policy and implementation, other municipal departments, and external partners.
Within the Wmo, the involvement may concern laundry services, shared mobility, volunteer transport, scooter pools, and existing day care or other collective provisions. The concrete task distribution and priorities will be coordinated at the start and during the assignment for the available 24 hours per week. The mentioned projects form the work area; not all components need to be fully executed within this assignment.
