Project overview
Senior Android Engineer to join a mobile security team in Bristol OR Manchester UK . (2 days on site per week)
The role: Build and maintain mobile security components for the bank's Android apps
Key skills they want:
Essentially: a senior Android dev with modern Jetpack/Compose experience who can own security-focused mobile components end-to-end.
- covering things like penetration testing, obfuscation, and consultancy
- with a focus on scalability and staying ahead of evolving threats.
- Strong Kotlin/Java
- Deep Android SDK and UI design knowledge
- MVVM/MVI, Jetpack (Architecture Components, Compose )
- SOLID principles, modular codebases
- Offline storage, threading, performance tuning
- UI testing, Git, open-source Android libraries
- Self-motivated, comfortable with stakeholder management and architecting solutions
