BenchIT seek to appoint and experienced Applications Consultant to own and drive application solution design decisions within a framework of support that will include Application Analysts and Application Administrators. The role takes ownership to define solution roadmaps, standards, templates and frameworks, whilst engaging with Architecture & Strategy teams and external vendors. Working within the team responsible for a portfolio of business-critical corporate applications that enable key operational, security, regulatory and business functions.

These applications require ongoing technical governance, lifecycle management, supplier coordination, support oversight and strategic direction to ensure they remain secure, supported, compliant and aligned to business objectives.

• Provide technical leadership and governance across the Corporate BSD application portfolio.
• Define and maintain application roadmaps aligned with business, architecture and cyber-security strategies.
• Lead application strategy, solution design and technology decision-making activities.
• Support business case preparation, feasibility assessments and project delivery activities.
• Manage relationships with application vendors, suppliers and support partners.
• Coordinate application upgrades, patching, software currency and lifecycle management activities.
• Support cloud migration, application modernisation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead application-related incident, problem and vulnerability management activities.
• Ensure compliance with cyber-security, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate application releases, deployments and service introduction activities.
• Produce solution designs, technical recommendations and impact assessments.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Service Management and Business stakeholders.
• Provide technical assurance for project delivery and operational readiness activities.
• Application architecture and solution design.
• Application lifecycle and portfolio management.
• Vendor and supplier management.
• SQL\Oracle DB and Windows experience.
• Cloud platforms and application modernisation.
• Cyber-security and vulnerability management.
• ITIL and Service Management disciplines.
• Release and deployment management.
• Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience operating within large enterprise environments
