Our prestigious client is seeking a Rubrik Architect for design, development and continual enhancement of client's enterprise backup, recovery and cyber resilience capabilities. The primary objective of this role is to define and deliver strategic data protection solutions that safeguard critical business services across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role provides the opportunity provide input into the technical direction of clients Rubrik platform and associated data protection technologies, driving innovation in backup, recovery, cyber recovery, reporting and automation. You will act as a trusted technical adviser, supporting the continual improvement of service capabilities and ensuring data protection solutions remain aligned with evolving business, regulatory and security requirements.

• Create and maintain solution patterns, reference architectures and technical designs that support strategic objectives for data protection, backup, recovery and cyber resilience.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security guardrails and technology roadmaps.
• Input into the design and implementation of Rubrik-based services across hybrid infrastructure, cloud platforms and critical business applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers and project teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Define engineering standards, operational processes and best practices for backup, recovery and disaster recovery services.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise throughout project delivery, service transition and operational support activities.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code adoption to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability of platform management.
• Develop reporting, dashboards and data insights that provide visibility of service health, compliance, risks and recovery readiness.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across engineering, operational and service management processes.
• Support testing and validation of backup, recovery and cyber recovery capabilities to ensure recovery objectives can be achieved.
• Act as a trusted adviser to stakeholders, providing technical guidance, progress updates and recommendations to support business outcomes.
• Work with suppliers and technology partners to influence future platform capabilities and service improvements.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise data protection and recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Rubrik technologies, ideally including Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC), Cloud Data Management (CDM), Cloud Cluster and Exocompute.
• Experience designing solutions across hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-premises datacentres and public cloud platforms.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Broad understanding of server, storage, virtualisation and networking technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling, particularly Terraform and Ansible within enterprise environments.
• Experience integrating data and operational metrics from multiple enterprise sources to produce meaningful reports, dashboards and insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic direction and operational requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within enterprise architecture, security and governance frameworks.
• Understanding of cyber resilience, ransomware protection, disaster recovery and business continuity principles
• Rubrik Certified Professional or equivalent Rubrik certification.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• AWS certifications.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management qualification.
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise organisations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to explain technical subjects in clear, plain English.
• Confident advising project managers and senior stakeholders while maintaining credibility with engineers and technical specialists.
• Strategic and forward-looking, while remaining pragmatic and delivery focused.
• Confident in providing direction, challenging assumptions and making recommendations where information is incomplete.
• Collaborative, approachable, self-driven and able to manage priorities across several related initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, influencing, stakeholder management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Paye: £538.45 p/d - £615.37 p/d (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)

Holiday Pay: £72.91 - £83.32 (includes rolled up holiday)

Total Paye: £611.35 - £698.69
