Municipality of Terschelling is the local point of contact for the government for citizens, entrepreneurs, and partners in the local community. In this position, the Municipality of Terschelling connects legal execution with its own local ambitions.

The work package of the Municipality of Terschelling ranges from passports, notifications, permits, and municipal taxes to programs concerning area development, public space and sustainability, and care, youth, and support for participation. To carry out these diverse tasks carefully, the Municipality of Terschelling brings together subject-matter expert teams with functions for legal affairs, finance, information provision, and communication.

Within the Municipality of Terschelling, the municipal council makes political decisions about the municipality's course and oversees the executive board.

• You conduct interviews with youth, parents, and involved network partners.
• You investigate support needs and determine what help is necessary.
• You work independently within a small team and can quickly take over ongoing cases.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a youth consultant, generalist, area team employee, or comparable position within a municipal organization. Specifically mention and describe assignments/projects (no abstract terms) in your explanation, demonstrating that you meet this minimum 3-year requirement. • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with the Youth Act and demonstrable experience in managing complex youth and family situations. Describe the knowledge and experience concretely.
• Available to be present in Terschelling every Thursday and available for 16 hours per week for the entire assignment period. Indicate how you will fulfill this assignment.
• Possess a valid SKJ registration or demonstrably re-registerable.
• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in Social Work, MWD, SPH, Pedagogy, or SJD. Name the educational institution, location, specialization, and graduation year.
• External party has demonstrably completed an HBO degree in Social Work, MWD, SPH, Pedagogy, or SJD. External party has completed the required education.
• External party is currently pursuing the required education.
• External party has more than 3 years of experience within a municipal area team or social team. External party has demonstrable experience as described.
• External party has 1 to 3 years of demonstrable experience as described.
• External party has 3 years of experience with indicating and deciding within the Youth Act. External party has demonstrable experience as described.
• External party has 1 to 2 years of demonstrable experience as described.
• External party has 3 years of demonstrable experience with complex youth casework and management. External party has demonstrable experience as described.
