Project overview
As an experienced Azure expert, you will be responsible for the cloud architecture of a new B2B customer portal for a leading European distributor of electronic components. The core of the portal is the 'Digital FAE', an AI assistant based on RAG. You will ensure that the Azure platform is secure, cost-efficient, scalable, and ready for international rollout.
Responsibilities
> Consultation and further development of the Azure target architecture and landing zone according to Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework
> Conception of a secure network architecture with Azure Front Door, WAF, Private Endpoints, and Hub-and-Spoke topology
> Development of multi-region, backup, and disaster recovery concepts for international rollout
> Cost-efficient scaling and FinOps – from autoscaling to Azure Cost Management
> Design of identity, security, and compliance concepts with Entra ID, Key Vault, and Defender for Cloud
> Setup and optimization of Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines across all environments
> Monitoring and operation concept for go-live as well as connection of Data Lake and SAP S/4HANA
> Close coordination with the customer's IT and knowledge transfer to the development team
Requirements
> Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or comparable qualification
> Several years of practical experience in the conception and implementation of Azure solutions in an enterprise environment
> Profound knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework
> Experience with Bicep or ARM as well as CI/CD-based infrastructure deployments
> Strong expertise in Azure Networking and Security, multi-region architectures, and cost optimization
> Experience with B2B portals, SAP integration, container workloads, or EU regulations (GDPR, CRA, EU AI Act) is an advantage
> Independent way of working and confident demeanor towards the customer's IT stakeholders
> Very good German and English skills in daily project work
