We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 or 8a Mental Health Pharmacist to work on a temporary basis in Portsmouth. Please see details of the role below:

Role Details

• Role: Band 7 or 8a Mental Health Pharmacist
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Pay: £30 to £36ph depending on experience
• Start: ASAP
• Length: 3 months, potential for extension
• This role will involve providing fully clinical pharmacy support across a range of mental health wards including adult mental health units.
• The post holder will typically cover 2 to 3 wards, undertaking clinical screening of medication charts, attending MDT meetings, supporting clinicians with queries, and facilitating medicines supply through the dispensary.
• You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites, supporting safe and effective medicines optimisation within mental health services.

• GPhC registration
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
• Mental health pharmacy experience essential
• Strong clinical screening and medicines optimisation skills
• Ability to work across multiple sites and within multidisciplinary teams
• Good communication and problem solving skills
