Project overview
Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer (German speaking), Switzerland
Freelance contract | 1 Nov 2026 to 30 Apr 2027 | 80 to 100% | Remote within CH + 1 day onsite per week
A well-known Swiss organisation in the research and academic sector is replacing a legacy core system with a modern web portal. The new single-page application will support complex application and review workflows, with built-in communication and task management for internal and external users. The build is already underway, and a team of 3 to 4 needs a BA to own requirements.
Responsibilities
What you’ll bring
- Lead requirements engineering with business stakeholders
- Run workshops and clarification sessions
- Turn business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Align business and IT, and become the client’s go-to person on scope
- Strong, hands-on requirements engineering experience
- Fluent German, spoken and written (mandatory)
- Based in Switzerland
- Confident stakeholder management; able to get up to speed fast and work with minimal guidance
- Background in research, academia, higher education or public sector strongly preferred
- Nice to have: portal or customer-facing web application projects
