Mission within the Data team of a major insurance player in France, as part of a strategic project to decommission SAS in favor of Snowflake. A structuring project for the data department, with a strong focus on data quality and readability for business users.

The position

You will hold the functional vision for the SAS to Snowflake migration project, acting as the link between business needs and the data engineering teams.

You will frame and prioritize the backlog: gathering needs, writing user stories, making arbitration decisions with business stakeholders.

You will remain sufficiently close to the technical aspects to challenge data modeling and restitution choices with data engineers, without necessarily coding yourself.

You will ensure that the migrated data truly meets business uses: good structure, good readability, good alignment with existing use cases.

You will lead agile rituals (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure communication between the technical team and business sponsors.

Profile sought

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on data projects

Ability to engage technically with a data engineering team (SAS, Snowflake, pipelines, data modeling vocabulary)

Good understanding of the challenges of a technical migration or decommissioning, ideally having already experienced such a project

Proficiency in backlog management tools (Jira or equivalent) and agile methodologies

Comfortable translating business needs into specifications usable by a technical team

Experience in autonomously leading workshops

Ideally, experience in the insurance sector or in a large account environment

Fluent English and French.

💰 Daily rate up to 700, depending on seniority and performance in interviews, no surprises
