Business Insight Developer

We are looking for a Business Insight Developer to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to understand data needs and turn them into clear, interactive dashboards and reporting products. This Business Insight Developer opportunity would suit someone who enjoys combining analysis, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful business insight.

• 6 months initial contract
• Hybrid/3 days per week on-site in Warrington (mandatory)
• £400 per day via Umbrella
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to present data in clear and actionable ways.
• Extract, transform, model, and visualise data using appropriate data processing tools.
• Prepare and cleanse data to ensure it is suitable for reporting and analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and improve reporting and analytics products driven by business needs.
• Support and enhance existing dashboards, reports, and other visualisation tools.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand their business challenges and define reporting requirements.
• Design and deliver Power BI solutions using best practice methods and agreed specifications.
• Produce regulatory reporting and carry out detailed data analysis as required.
• Document and test key reports to provide assurance and maintain reporting quality.
• Support wider team reporting activity and data governance responsibilities where needed.
• Degree in a numerate discipline, or equivalent business experience in reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
• Strong experience creating engaging information products and dashboards, ideally using Power BI.
• Ability to manipulate, extract, and model data for reporting purposes.
• Experience with ETL or data processing tools such as Talend, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw clear conclusions from data.
• Confident presenting complex information in a compelling and accessible format.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data and detailed numerical analysis.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
• Demonstrable willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to report accuracy and quality.
