About the assignment:

For a client in the chemical sector in Antwerp, we are looking for an experienced Senior Change Manager who wants to play an important role in strategic change trajectories and organization-wide transformation programs. In this assignment, you will guide complex changes within a dynamic industrial environment. You will ensure that new processes, structures, and ways of working are successfully introduced and sustainably anchored in the organization. You will bridge the gap between the strategic objectives of management and the daily practice of employees and operational teams.

With your experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development, you will create support, guide the organization through change processes, and ensure that transformations lead to concrete and measurable results.

Responsibilities

You will develop and implement an integrated change management approach for large-scale transformation and improvement programs. You will map the impact of changes on organizational structures, business processes, teams, and employees, and translate strategic objectives into concrete implementation and adoption plans. You will also advise and support directors, senior management, and program leaders in organizational changes. You will identify key stakeholders and develop strategies to increase their engagement and create sufficient support.

You will set up targeted communication and engagement initiatives to inform employees in a timely manner and actively involve them in changes. You will proactively detect possible resistance and develop appropriate interventions to ensure a smooth transition to new processes and ways of working. You will guide workshops, work sessions, and consultation meetings with management, operational departments, and project teams. You will coordinate change governance and monitor the coherence between different change initiatives. You will also evaluate the organization's change readiness and change capacity.

You will define relevant KPIs to measure the progress and effectiveness of change trajectories, report on results and risks, and adjust the change management approach where necessary.

Requirements

You have at least five years of experience in change management within complex organizations or large-scale transformation programs. Experience within an industrial environment is essential, preferably in the chemical or petrochemical sector. You have thorough knowledge of change management methodologies, including the Prosci ADKAR model. You have experience with change impact assessments, change readiness, change maturity, and developing organization-wide adoption plans. You also have proven expertise in stakeholder management and guiding change trajectories at senior management and director level.

You know how to coach leaders and project teams and bring different interests together around common goals. You are strong in communication, facilitation, and creating engagement within diverse teams. You can identify change risks in a timely manner, formulate appropriate solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of change initiatives using relevant KPIs. Thanks to your analytical and structured approach, you combine strategic insight with a pragmatic, results-oriented mentality. You easily build relationships with diverse stakeholders and can guide complex changes in a clear and convincing manner.

Language skills:

You master Dutch at a minimum C1 level. You also have a good knowledge of the second national language, at least B1, and you master English at a C1 level.

The assignment will be carried out according to a hybrid work arrangement, with at least two days per week presence on location.

Further planning will be coordinated according to project needs. The collaboration will be on a freelance basis according to the Time & Material principle, with an all-in hourly rate.
