Cloud Architect

Project overview

We are looking for an Hybrid Cloud / Infrastructure Pre-Sales Architect to work within complex IT environments and support the design of hybrid infrastructure solutions, with a possible location in Île-de-France (Malakoff), Nantes, Toulouse, or Lyon.

You will be involved in the design and deployment of architectures combining on-premise, private/public cloud infrastructures, virtualization, storage, backup, automation, and managed services.

Profile sought:

We are looking for an experienced and autonomous profile, with a background in IT infrastructure, integration, or architecture, ideally with 6 years of experience or more.

You have a solid understanding of Hybrid Cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup, network, and security environments, and are capable of designing architectures in complex multi-technology contexts.

You also have a real pre-sales dimension, with the ability to understand and challenge client needs, design a technical solution, document it, and present it to technical and business stakeholders.

You are comfortable writing tender responses and architecture documents, as well as interacting with sales, project, and technical teams.

• Analyze and qualify clients' business and technical needs regarding hybrid infrastructures.
• Challenge needs and technical choices around on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
• Verify and define architecture, sizing, and implementation choices.
• Design coherent, secure, scalable Hybrid Cloud architectures adapted to client constraints.
• Define server, storage, network, and virtualization architectures.
• Integrate backup, DRP/BCP, business continuity, and cyber-resilience issues.
• Design solutions integrating management, orchestration, monitoring, and automation tools.
• Consider modern application environments: microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and APIs.
• Integrate data issues: synchronization, migration, and Data Fabric.
• Participate in the pre-sales, scoping, and deployment phases of solutions.
• Support sales, technical, and project teams in building proposals.
• Write responses to tenders, architecture documents, and technical design documents.
• Conduct technical demonstrations and present proposed architectures to clients.
• Participate in building technical and financial proposals.
• Maintain technological watch on Hybrid Cloud, Multicloud, and Infrastructure environments.
• Identify innovation levers around automation, AI, monitoring, data-driven operations, and cost optimization.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure architecture, integration, or design.
• Mastery of hyperconverged and 3-Tier architectures: Broadcom / VMware, HPE SimpliVity.
• Solid knowledge of storage solutions: HPE, NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell.
• Knowledge of backup solutions: Veeam, Rubrik, HYCU, Cohesity, Commvault.
• Mastery of virtualization environments: VMware, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Proxmox systems.
• Knowledge in automation and configuration management.
• Good understanding of hybrid and Multicloud environments.
• Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Understanding of monitoring, observability, and managed services issues.
• Knowledge in business continuity, cyber-resilience, and DRP/BCP.
• Knowledge of containerized environments: Kubernetes, microservices, and APIs.
• Sensitivity to data management and Data Fabric issues.
• Knowledge of NVIDIA, GPU, or HPC environments is a plus.
• Excellent skills in writing technical documents and architecture dossiers.
• Bilingual French or native language.
• Fluent professional English.
