CloudOps Azure / DevOps Engineer

Project overview

Within the technical team of a software publisher, you contribute to the design, deployment, and operation of Azure infrastructures and business applications. You will work on several products, in development, pre-production, and production environments.

The position combines a strong CloudOps and system administration dimension with DevOps activities. It involves operational responsibility for the environments and is not limited to CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure as code.

Profile sought

Higher education, Master's degree level (Bac +5) from an engineering school or equivalent university program. At least 6 years of successful professional experience, excluding education and internships, in roles related to the described scope.

Proven practical experience with Microsoft Azure, its infrastructure, PaaS, and CaaS services, and their network interactions.

Proficiency in Kubernetes, particularly AKS, Docker containers, and associated tools, including Helm.

Administration of Windows and Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu, and experience in operational maintenance.

Solid skills in PowerShell scripting for automating and ensuring the reliability of operations.

Experience with Git and Azure DevOps, particularly for designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Ability to design a solution, diagnose an incident, and explain technical choices autonomously.

Ability to produce architecture diagrams and clear, structured, and usable documentation.

• Contribute to the architecture and urbanization of Azure environments: Application Gateway, Firewall, virtual networks, subnets, AKS, virtual machines, and VPN.
• Ensure the operational maintenance of infrastructures and applications: Windows and Linux systems, Kubernetes clusters, incident management, and intervention requests.
• Independently manage deployment and migration projects, from design to commissioning, with documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Install, configure, and deploy business applications on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Implement and standardize continuous integration and deployment pipelines under Azure DevOps; automate operations with PowerShell.
• Contribute to security, compliance with internal directives, environment standardization, and cloud cost optimization within a FinOps approach.
• Improve operational processes and contribute to controlled uses of artificial intelligence.
• Deployment of an AKS cluster behind an Application Gateway and isolation of teams on a shared development cluster.
• Implementation of an Azure site-to-site VPN or a k3s cluster in a private industrial network.
• Deployment of a high-availability messaging solution like RabbitMQ.
