Communication Advisor (interim)

Project overview

For a temporary project concerning the reception of status holders, asylum seekers, and Ukrainian displaced persons:

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Developing a communication strategy and associated communication plans
• Advising the executive board and the project team on communication issues
• Managing external communications towards various stakeholders
• Preparing and facilitating discussions with residents, resident groups, and community organizations
• Managing relationships and acting as a contact person for the regional network
• Developing communication plans into web texts, news items, press releases, and social media messages
• Creating surveys and organizing meetings to reach target groups
• Supporting press contacts and acting as a spokesperson
• Monitoring and optimizing the effectiveness of the communication approach
• Diploma at least HBO bachelor level
• At least 5 years of work experience within the last 10 years as a communication advisor
• Work experience with emergency reception and distribution law issues
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the last 5 years as a communication advisor focused on communication and participation regarding the reception of newcomers in a small municipality (less than 15,000 inhabitants)
• Minimum 2 years of work experience participating in regional network collaborations, preferably between municipalities, province, and ministry
• Availability for flexible deployment, including evenings and weekends
• Practical experience with socially sensitive themes
• Strong sense of political and social relations
• Ability to operate at a strategic, tactical, and operational level
