Compulsory Education Officer School Attendance and School Dropout

Project overview

As a compulsory education officer, you will fulfill a subject-matter expert and coaching role within the Youth and Education team, with a focus on the implementation of the School Attendance project and the Law to Reduce School Dropout.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Monitor and improve the quality of work processes and service delivery
• Implement, monitor, and sustainably secure working methods from the School Attendance project
• Facilitate, advise, and coach colleagues in subject-matter areas
• Organize efficient planning of activities within the cluster
• Advise management on quality improvement and subject-matter developments
• Contribute to management reports and monitor the progress of improvement projects
• Participate in internal and external meetings and maintain networks with schools and chain partners
• Handle compulsory education and dropout files as a compulsory education officer
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the last 7 years as a compulsory education officer within education, compulsory education, or school attendance
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Compulsory Education Act, the Law to Reduce School Dropout, and the Qualification Obligation
• Minimum 5 years of recent work experience in implementing and anchoring approaches focused on school attendance or reducing school dropout
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the last 7 years as a compulsory education officer at a municipality or government institution
• Experience in coaching and substantively guiding professionals
• Completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor level
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
