We are seeking an experienced SAP PMO Lead to set up and manage the Programme Management Office (PMO) for a major global SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a large consulting partner.

As the PMO is being established from scratch, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining standards, rationalizing tools (transitioning reporting and tracking from Power BI, Excel, and Smartsheet into Jira), and establishing robust program governance for the food and beverages end client.

Key Requirements & Experience

• PMO Setup & Governance: Build, establish, and lead a greenfield PMO across both IT and business workstreams, defining governance frameworks, standards, and reporting cadences.
• Tool Rationalization & Administration: Lead the consolidation and migration of program tracking tools from disparate systems (Power BI, Excel, Smartsheet) into an integrated Jira environment.
• Data Migration Focus: Provide PMO oversight and governance for large-scale SAP data migration workstreams across multiple waves.
• Multi-Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and manage delivery across multiple third-party System Integrators (SIs), software vendors, and internal business/IT stakeholders.
• Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, track, and manage cross-workstream dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations across both technical and business functions.
• Technical & Delivery Direction: Leverage SAP S/4HANA technical depth to challenge delivery teams, guide decision-making, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Executive Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear, actionable status reports, dashboards, and executive updates to senior leadership and steering committees.
• Greenfield PMO Leadership: Demonstrated experience building and scaling a PMO from scratch across business and IT functions.
• SAP S/4HANA Transformation: Strong experience working within or as a contractor to a large System Integrator (SI) on complex, global S/4HANA programs.
• Data Migration Exposure: Direct exposure to data migration methodologies and governance within a wider SAP program remit.
• Tooling Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Jira, alongside experience managing transitions from Power BI, Excel, and Smartsheet.
• Multi-Vendor Governance: Strong experience working with and managing multiple external vendors/consultancies in a matrixed delivery model.
• SAP Technical Depth: Sufficient functional and technical knowledge of SAP ecosystems to effectively challenge vendors and delivery teams.
• Lifecycle Mastery: Deep understanding of the full program delivery life cycle spanning both technical infrastructure/build and business change management.
