HGV Technician Contract Inside IR35

We're recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to support a busy fleet maintenance operation on a contract basis. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in keeping commercial vehicles safe, reliable and ready for service.

We envisage this will be up to 12 weeks work!

The role:

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and associated equipment.

Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

Respond to defects and breakdowns, helping minimise vehicle downtime.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and work completed.

Work closely with the workshop team to maintain high standards of safety and workmanship.

What we're looking for:

A recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGVs.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

The ability to work independently and manage priorities in a busy workshop.

A thorough approach to health and safety.

Experience with refuse collection vehicles would be advantageous.

This contract falls inside IR35.
