Contracts Attorney (Commercial Technology & SaaS)

Join a growing legal team supporting a leading nonprofit organization that manages sensitive insurance and investigative information. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong commercial contracting experience, particularly SaaS and technology agreements, who enjoys collaborating with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial technology agreements, including SaaS agreements, MSAs, and vendor contracts.
• Advise internal stakeholders on commercial contracting matters and contract risk.
• Support legal operations involving technology vendors and data-related services.
• Provide guidance on consumer data privacy considerations within commercial agreements.

• 5-7 years of attorney experience handling commercial contracts.
• Strong experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating SaaS agreements, technology contracts, MSAs, and vendor agreements.
• Understanding of consumer data privacy issues and related contract provisions preferred.
• Experience supporting insurance, financial services, or organizations handling sensitive consumer information is highly desirable.
• Active law license in any U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing.
• Must be located in the Chicago area and able to attend occasional in-office meetings

Project details

• Duration: (12-24 month engagement)
• Hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Location: Primarily remote with occasional onsite visits in the Oak Brook area (approximately once every few weeks)
• Hourly compensation: $95-$105/hour
• Start: flexible
