Coordinating Technical Advisor Mechanical Engineering (interim)

Project overview

Within this role, you will coordinate technical issues for large-scale maintenance and renovation projects on locks and dikes.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on mechanical engineering and other technical issues
• Reviewing designs, calculations, inspection reports, and technical solutions
• Identifying risks and deviations, and providing advice on control measures
• Preparing technical input for maintenance contracts and tender specifications
• Translating client requirements into clear, SMART contract requirements
• Verifying technical products against contractual agreements
• Providing technical data for cost estimates
• Checking and having client requirement specifications approved via Systems Engineering
• Performing verification and validation and reviewing handover files
• Monitoring technical requirements during preparation and execution
• Fulfilling a connecting role between internal colleagues, managers, and market parties
• Coordinating with technical disciplines and chain partners
• Ensuring safety during maintenance work and machine safety
• Specifying requirements in the field of asset management
• Completed HBO (University of Applied Sciences) degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable field
• At least 2 years of experience in technical coordination and/or contract management
• At least 2 years of experience in areas such as Systems Engineering, machine safety, occupational safety, and design guidelines
• Solid mechanical engineering expertise
• Strong oral and written advisory skills
• Good command of the Dutch language
• Preferred: background in electromechanical systems, movable bridges, locks, or weirs
• Preferred: experience with a public client and within IPM project organizations
• Possess or be willing to obtain within two months: VCA-VOL and Generic Gate Instruction
