Project overview

Within the objectives and constraints of the Multi-year Agenda 2026-2030, you will independently determine the approach, planning, and execution method of the assignment and your working method.

As a Coordinator for Education-Labor Market Alignment, you will work on better alignment between education and the labor market in Rivierenland. You will support and connect projects and activities that contribute to a future-proof labor market. Depending on the phase and needs of a project, you will fulfill an exploratory, connecting, executing, facilitating, or communication role.

You will contribute to the sustainable safeguarding of successful projects and results in the region. You will also contribute to the sustainable embedding of successful projects and activities in the region and to better alignment between education and the labor market.

Regio Rivierenland is the collaboration of eight municipalities in the Tielerwaard, Culemborgerwaard, Betuwe, Bommelerwaard, and the west of the Land van Maas en Waal. The municipalities are Buren, Culemborg, Maasdriel, Neder-Betuwe, Tiel, West Betuwe, West Maas en Waal, and Zaltbommel. Regio Rivierenland supports the collaboration of municipalities. Regio Rivierenland is the governmental part of FruitDelta Rivierenland, an overarching collaboration between government, entrepreneurs, education, research, and entrepreneurial residents.

For this assignment, you will work within the team of Arbeidsmarktregio Rivierenland. Arbeidsmarktregio Rivierenland is an administrative network organization with the aim of realizing an inclusive labor market and improving the alignment between education and the labor market. Affiliated partners include: the eight municipalities within Rivierenland, UWV, representatives of employer and employee associations (including VNO-NCW, FNV, and CNV), representatives of educational institutions (mbo, VSO/PrO), SBB, and other regional partners.

The partners within Arbeidsmarkregio Rivierenland jointly work on the activities in the multi-year agenda education & labor market 2026-2030.

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor's level
• Demonstrable work experience in the field of connecting education and the labor market
• Demonstrable work experience within a labor market region
• Demonstrable work experience with developing and executing projects involving multiple public and private parties
• Demonstrably available to carry out the assignment within the agreed timeframe, assuming an average commitment of 16 to 20 hours per week
• You have demonstrable work experience in developing, strengthening, and promoting the alignment between education and the labor market
• Demonstrable work experience within a labor market region and/or public-private network organization
• You have demonstrable work experience in facilitating, developing, executing, and monitoring projects involving multiple public and private parties
• Demonstrable knowledge of and/or work experience within the education and labor market network in Rivierenland
