Project overview

Overview Our client is seeking a Copywriter to create and optimize eCommerce product detail page (PDP) content across major retail platforms including Amazon, Walmart, and Target. This role is ideal for a curious, growth-minded writer with experience in SEO and a strong interest in AI, search optimization, and emerging content strategies.

• Duration: 4+ month contract
• Start: Early November
• Schedule: 40 hrs/week, onsite Tuesday-Thursday
• Location: West Chelsea, New York Key Responsibilities
• Write and optimize PDP content including product titles, bullets, descriptions, and annotated thumbnails for 15-25 products per month.
• Conduct keyword research and develop SEO/AEO/GEO-informed copy that improves product visibility and conversion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and product stakeholders to create compelling, brand-aligned content.
• Train on and leverage AI tools (including Jasper) to develop and refine eCommerce content.
• Maintain content quality through proofreading, adherence to style guidelines, and incorporation of feedback and revisions. Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of copywriting experience, ideally within eCommerce, retail, CPG, or consumer products.
• Experience writing PDP content for online marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, or Target.
• Understanding of SEO; exposure to AEO, GEO, AI-assisted content creation, or keyword research tools (Helium 10 preferred) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to accept feedback, provide status updates, and work collaboratively.
• Bachelor's degree in Writing, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant copywriting work. You will need your own computer, one will not be provided for you. In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
