The Directorate-General for Environment and International (DGMI) promotes a healthy, safe, clean, and sustainable living environment. DGMI also coordinates the international component of IenW's policy work, including working visits and economic diplomacy. DGMI thus works on transitions in the areas of circular economy, smart and sustainable mobility, and climate adaptation.
Directorate for Environmental Safety and Risks
The Directorate for Environmental Safety and Risks (O&M) develops policy that forms the basis for a healthy and safe living environment. The central task is "realizing a healthy and safe living environment, which is also perceived as such by the inhabitants of the Netherlands". The directorate is part of DGMI.
A significant catch-up is needed between implementing organizations and policymakers to improve digital services for citizens and businesses.
