Jobbeschreibung
A fashion retailer is seeking a Data Analyst to guide decisions on store concepts and merchandising using data from various in-store collection tools. The role involves piloting RFID projects, analyzing store performance, and recommending/testing layout changes to increase sales.
Project overview
The context
We are supporting a fashion brand with approximately 300 stores that wants data to guide its decisions on in-store concepts and merchandising.
The brand has already deployed data collection tools in several pilot stores that are still rare in retail: RFID sensors that locate each product in the sales area, stockroom, and fitting rooms, traffic analysis and heatmaps of customer journeys, entry counters, and connected fitting rooms. It is also structuring money mapping methods to measure the revenue generated by each store area.
The tools are in place. What's missing is the person capable of holding both field and data responsibilities and transforming these initial results into a reproducible method.
The objective
Increase the value per square meter of stores through better conversion and a higher average basket size.
The mission begins with a 6-month test, renewable, to prove the value of the role before its deployment across the entire network.
Your missions
- Lead a pilot RFID project in-store with a technology partner: manage the monthly steering committee with Retail Management, monitor the schedule and the provider's commitments, coordinate between stores, visual merchandising, Data, and IT teams, prepare the decision for continuation at the end of the test.
- Define the test method: design the protocol that links store layout and performance (test and control stores, duration, KPIs, success thresholds, rules for attributing results). Identify the necessary data, including the value of creating a digital layout repository.
- Analyze performance by area and by product: cross-reference sales, layout, and traffic data to measure revenue per area, identify hot and cold spots, compare sales share to display share, monitor fitting room conversion and out-of-stock situations in the sales area.
- Recommend and test: propose layout changes to visual merchandising and stores, test them according to the defined method, and measure their effect on conversion and basket size.
- Make data usable for the field: produce a simple weekly report for regional visual merchandisers, district managers, and zone directors, and present it during regular meetings.
- Prepare for scaling: document the process (data, KPIs, rituals, roles) for deployment across the entire network.
- Act as the business representative for Retail within the Data & AI team for other store data projects.
