Project overview
We are looking for a senior candidate for the role of Data Engineer with knowledge of Teradata, Informatica, and Databricks for our client from the banking sector for a project involving the creation, development, and migration of data warehouses.
Project requirements
- comprehensive development and management of extensive data warehouses, including analysis and design of innovative data solutions for individual subsidiaries
- close agile cooperation with business units, architects, and stakeholders to collect requirements, translate them into technical implementation, and solve complex migration challenges
- development and maintenance of data integrations and transformation processes primarily using Teradata, Informatica, and advanced SQL technologies
- participation in an extensive migration of existing solutions to the modern Databricks cloud platform
- continuous testing, data validation, preparation of technical documentation, and conducting code reviews
- effective work with source codes and release processes using the Git version control system
- hybrid cooperation with 50% onsite in Prague and 50% remote (2+3 and subsequent week 3+2)
- extensive experience with:
- data engineering development, DWH or BI solutions (minimum 3 years of practice)
- translating complex business requirements into functional technical solutions
- advanced knowledge of:
- SQL language for complex data operations and transformations
- Teradata and Informatica technologies
- experience with:
- active use of the Git tool for version management
- effective communication across technical and non-technical teams in an agile environment
- knowledge of:
- Databricks cloud data platform (from basic to advanced level)
- advantageous:
- practical experience with direct support of data migrations and deeper knowledge of data solutions testing
