Data Platform Engineer - Contract
£500-£550 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | Working US Hours
Devonshire Hayes is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to help build and improve data observability, data quality and platform capabilities, enabling data engineering teams to deliver reliable, efficient pipelines.

This is a fully remote contract requiring availability to work US hours.
- Build out a data observability platform to provide tracking, control, operational monitoring and visibility across end-to-end data pipelines and data usage.
- Develop reusable data quality components and frameworks to identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues.
- Monitor and optimise Snowflake performance and costs.
- Create reusable components and frameworks to support data engineering teams.
- Support and manage data platforms, including Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and Ataccama.
- Strong data expertise, with hands-on experience building data pipelines.
- Strong SQL skills and practical Python experience.
- Experience supporting and managing data software platforms.
- Experience with data observability, data quality and performance management.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and/or Ataccama.
- Linux and Terraform.
- Software development experience.
