Project overview

MISSION

Within the Information Systems Department and under the responsibility of the Run Manager, the database administrator and project manager's main mission is to manage, administer, and maintain the client's on-premise and Azure cloud SI databases.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

o Implement information system warning and alert systems to anticipate incidents

o Purge obsolete business data to improve database performance

o Version upgrade of the Real-time SI (PostGres Cartography, and mariaDB)

o Securing production environments by separating the production server pool across 2 distinct geographical sites

o Data security through anonymization of sensitive information

o Implementation and testing of backup and restore procedures for our client's IT systems as part of the DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) in the event of a major incident

Knowledge / Know-how

· Mastery of Oracle and PostGreSQL database administration

· Knowledge of MariaDB and SQL Server database administration

· Knowledge and mastery of programming and scripting languages

· Knowledge of production management tools (monitoring, performance...)

· Knowledge of Public Cloud (Azure)

• Pilot the database activities of our client's IS
• Pilot and Administer the databases of the Management SI (Oracle COMPIERE) and the Real-time SI (Postgres Cartography and sqlserver)
• Define improvement and operational maintenance plans for the entire Management SI and Real-time SI system
• Define, improve, and implement database exploitability
• Define and carry out version upgrade plans for the various databases under their responsibility
• Maintain and/or train internal skills in database management in case of incidents
• Provide technical assistance to development teams to improve application quality
• Pilot and carry out functional and technical projects for the RUN team, for example:
• Define security rules jointly with the CISO and apply them
• Act as L3 support for operations teams within the database scope
• Maintain relationships with publishers such as Oracle
• Maintain technological watch to identify and anticipate the evolution of innovations in database management
