Project overview

MISSION

Within an entity responsible for developing digital platforms and tools for the Supply Chain (warehouse robot solutions, last mile, logistics flow optimization, B2B orders).

We are looking for a Cloud Database Platform Engineer to join the team, composed of about ten collaborators. The mission will be highly strategic and hybrid, split 50% around database management and reliability, and 50% on building our Cloud platforms.

Be responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of technical stacks (infrastructure, delivery, databases, monitoring) for all application environments of the Value Chain, in close collaboration with application managers and development teams.

TRANSVERSALITY: Actively contribute to the internal expert community, share best practices, and foster the overall skill development of the team.

TECHNICAL STACK

• DESIGN: Design and evolve new Cloud platforms to host future applications.
• AUTOMATION: Automate infrastructures to minimize repetitive, non-value-added tasks.
• ARCHITECTURE: Systematically apply DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) and KISS (Keep It Simple) principles to ensure the modularity, simplicity, and maintainability of Cloud architectures.
• RESILIENCE: Ensure the security, high availability, and resilience of application infrastructures.
• SELF-SERVICE: Promote self-service and autonomy for development teams (DevOps).
• AVAILABILITY: Ensure the availability, performance, and integrity of production and non-production databases.
• MAINTENANCE & BACKUP: Ensure operational maintenance (MCO), security, querying, and backup strategies for data environments.
• INTER-CLOUD MIGRATION: Lead, support, and secure the migration and modernization of databases during inter-provider switches (particularly from GCP to AWS or vice versa) and towards managed services.
• INCIDENT RESOLUTION: Analyze and resolve incidents related to databases and associated infrastructures.
• OBSERVABILITY: Continuously optimize end-to-end data observability and monitoring.
• EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years of experience as a DBA, SysOps, or Infrastructure Engineer, ideally with multi-cloud migration experience.
• RIGOR: Excellent operational rigor and strong production culture.
• OPEN SOURCE CULTURE: Very good knowledge of Linux environments.
• TEAM SPIRIT: Good interpersonal skills, service-oriented, and a strong desire for skill sharing.
• LANGUAGES: Fluency in English, both spoken and written (international context).
• DATA & DATABASES: PostgreSQL, Oracle
• CLOUD & INFRA-AS-CODE: GCP, AWS, Cloud Run, Compute, Terraform
• CONTAINERIZATION: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Istio
• CI/CD & GITOPS: GitHub Actions, Flux v2, Kustomize, Helm, GitHub
• OBSERVABILITY & SECURITY: OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, HashiCorp Vault
