Administer and secure the critical database engines (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) of a major banking client.

As part of strengthening the data infrastructure engineering and operations teams for a major banking group, we are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) Expert. Within an international environment, collaborating daily with teams based in India, your role will be crucial: you will be responsible for the administration, architecture, High Availability (HADR), security, and critical production support of the bank's DBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).

Your Future Environment

You will work at the heart of the Database Production & Infrastructure unit, in direct interface with system engineers, application teams, and offshore support units in India. In a demanding and highly available banking context, you will be the guarantor of data integrity, performance, and resilience. You will work according to an adapted work schedule (including availability for interventions during non-standard hours and on-call duty) and operate in a multi-DBMS environment with very high volumes.

Your Key Missions

Administration, Architecture & High Availability (BUILD & ARCHITECTURE Mode):

Operations, Troubleshooting & International Support (RUN & SUPPORT Mode):

• Design, evolve, and optimize the architecture of production databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Oracle Apps).
• Implement and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions (HADR, RAC, Data Guard, AlwaysOn, TSA / Tivoli System Automation).
• Lead and execute version upgrade campaigns and the application of security patches (Fix Packs / Patches).
• Define, test, and validate backup, restore, and disaster recovery plans (DRP/BCP).
• Provide expert-level support for critical IT production environments.
• Perform proactive monitoring and daily execution of health checks to ensure database performance and health.
• Take charge of, diagnose, and resolve complex incidents (N2/N3 troubleshooting) tracked via the group's ticketing tools.
• Work daily and smoothly with operations teams based in India (English bilingualism imperative).
• Ensure service continuity during planned interventions during non-standard hours or maintenance periods.

• Education: Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5) in IT, software engineering, networks & systems, or data management.
• Experience: You have solid experience of 6 to 10 years as a Database Administrator / Expert (DBA) in critical production environments within large companies (banking or financial sector strongly preferred).
• Imperative DBMS Technical Expertise:
• In-depth mastery of major relational database engines: Oracle (including Oracle Apps) and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL / MS-SQL).
• Solid skills in Open Source and NoSQL/Cache DBMS: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis.
• Recognized expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures (HADR) as well as the TSA clustering tool (Tivoli System Automation).
• Solid experience in backup/restore management (RMAN, NetBackup, Veeam), capacity management, and Fix Pack deployment.
• Proficiency in ITSM ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and DBMS monitoring tools.
• Languages & Operational Constraints:
• Bilingual English indispensable (daily oral and written exchanges with teams in India).
• Flexibility and availability for interventions during non-standard hours / weekends according to banking production requirements.
• Strong Sense of Customer Service & Team Spirit: Assertive customer orientation, willingness to share knowledge and collaborate enthusiastically.
• Autonomy and Composure: Ability to manage critical production incidents alone or in a team under high pressure.
