DBA Senior / DevOps

Project overview

As part of a system modernization project, our client is looking for a Senior DBA capable of intervening in both production database administration and study, design, and optimization activities.

You will be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of critical databases, while contributing to the evolution of existing architectures towards hybrid On-Premise / Cloud environments.

You will join a technical team and work closely with the OPS, Development, Architecture, QA, and Release Management teams.

Work environment

• Administration and production: administer SQL Server Enterprise environments, ensure high availability, manage backups and restores, ensure monitoring, and intervene in complex incidents.
• Study and design: participate in data modeling, challenge technical choices, support developers, optimize SQL queries, and participate in code reviews and evolution validation.
• Modernization of architectures: contribute to migration and evolution projects towards PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and managed databases in the Cloud.
• DevOps and industrialization: automate recurring operations, industrialize deployments, develop Infrastructure as Code practices, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Performance and security: anticipate technical risks, optimize performance, and ensure the integrity and resilience of databases.
• Advanced expertise in SQL Server Enterprise.
• Mastery of SQL Server AlwaysOn, SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and high availability mechanisms.
• Solid experience in administration, operation, and production incident resolution.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Patroni.
• Mastery of DevOps tools and practices: Git, CI/CD, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
• Notions of Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Couchbase and Cloud databases.
• Professional English.
