Azure DevOps Engineer

Location - Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 days onsite)

Duration - 12 Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate - Up to $80/hour

We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to join a growing cloud infrastructure team responsible for designing, automating, securing, and supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building cloud platforms, developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, and driving automation initiatives within a modern DevOps ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Azure expertise, extensive experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, and a passion for cloud operations, security, and automation.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab
• Build, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Design, implement, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, patching, and operational processes
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles, identity management, and encryption controls
• Configure and manage Azure monitoring solutions including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Build operational dashboards and alerting systems to improve visibility and reliability
• Support Azure IaaS and PaaS services across enterprise environments
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure and applications
• Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operations teams within an Agile environment
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and automation
• Experience supporting Azure monitoring and operational dashboards
• Expertise with Azure services including:
• Application Gateway
• API Management
• Azure App Service
• Azure Monitor
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Azure Storage
• Azure Front Door
• Azure DevOps
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Very Important
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Experience with Azure security best practices and Zero Trust architecture
• Linux administration experience
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with WebLogic and Apache
• Experience configuring Microsoft Sentinel
• Knowledge of FedRAMP High, FISMA High, or Zero Trust frameworks
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-400
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Work with cutting-edge Azure cloud technologies
