Assignment description

You will be deployed as a Java tester for testing Web Java applications and web services within the Toezicht team of the Belastingdienst IV organization. Together with your colleagues, you will be part of one of the 4 scrum teams within Toezicht. In 2-week sprints, the team will deliver a 'shippable product' each time. Specifically, you will work with colleagues in your scrum team, the product owner, and users on the (further) development, maintenance, and assurance of the continuity of various Toezicht applications.

With your expertise, you will deliver a high-quality application in collaboration with your team members that is also easily maintainable. You will be involved with a diversity of applications with their associated challenges and different development methods.

Background of the assignment

The platform team currently consists of a mix of internal and hired DevOps Engineers. The intention is to make the team more future-proof in the coming year by replacing hired staff with internal employees. This is why this request is being posted as a permanent position, and only candidates who are open to this can be offered.

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contractual party, including regarding the Dutch Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-rekening. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited, from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Dutch Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is based in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-rekening from the Dutch Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-rekening (and you can provide proof of this from the Dutch Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an assurance report regarding personnel lending every quarter. In this report, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.

• Minimum 3 years of knowledge/experience with setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms
• Minimum 5 years of knowledge/experience with setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Apigee and GCP
• Minimum HBO work and thinking level (3 years).
