Job Description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic DevOps engineer who wants to be at the foundation of realizing Enterprise Search & AI services for daily use by many tens of thousands of employees. You will work with other developers and designers to create applications that are both robust and functional. In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, with the latest technologies in a great team of professionals. You will work on the platform with data, and backend APIs.

Responsibilities

Developing new functionalities and elevating the code quality.

Working in a team and collaborating with designers, fellow developers, and project managers.

Setting up and using CI/CD, automating manual tasks.

Testing and debugging applications.

Contributing to the improvement of technical processes and workflows.

Maintaining documentation of the work and the developed solutions.

With Enterprise Search & AI, employees and specific business applications are enabled to find and access information more effectively and efficiently.

eCF Profile: Developer

Reference Area: B.01 Application Development

This assignment is based on the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF). This is a European standard for describing IT competencies and the associated level of responsibility. The eCF profile indicates which competencies and at what level (e-1 to e-5) are expected from the candidate. We expect candidates to clearly demonstrate in their CV that they possess these competencies. This can be done by describing for each relevant assignment or position:

CVs in which the requested eCF competencies are not demonstrably present cannot be fully assessed for suitability.

Candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with the chosen eCF profile similar role.

Generic description of competence area and levels

Interprets the application design to develop a suitable application in accordance with customer needs. Adapts existing solutions by, for example, porting an application to another operating system. Codes, debugs, tests, and documents, and communicates product development stages. Selects suitable technical options for development, such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components. Optimizes efficiency, costs, and quality. Validates results with user representatives, integrates, and commissions the overall solution.

Summary of task and mission

Designs and/or codes to meet solution specifications. Ensures the building and implementation of ICT applications. Contributes to a low-level design. Writes code to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and user experience.

Requirements/Wishes

Candidate preferably has at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience within the Ministry of Defence.

Candidate preferably has at least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes and cluster management and GitOps (ArgoCD) methodology.

Candidate preferably has at least 5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.

Candidate preferably has at least 5 years of experience with 'Infrastructure as Code' such as Terraform.

Candidate preferably has recent experience (> 3 years) with search, AI, and data-driven systems within the Ministry of Defence is essential.

Candidate preferably has more than 3 years of experience setting up private cloud environments within large government organizations in the security domain.

Candidate preferably has more than demonstrable work experience with the requested role within the eCF profile and job description.
