Digital Security Advisor

For the Municipality of Amersfoort, we are looking for an experienced Digital Security Advisor who wants to contribute to the digital resilience of residents and entrepreneurs. An interesting assignment where security, technology, and societal issues come together. You will work on preventing cybercrime, connect various partners, and play an important role in drafting the Digital Security action plan for 2027.

• Advising on security issues related to technology.
• Organizing information sessions on digital security and cybercrime (e.g., digital security for the elderly). You do not have to give the presentation yourself but must gather all information from the appropriate partners and channels.
• Maintaining and further developing the network with relevant internal and external partners, such as digital neighborhood police officers, youth workers, entrepreneurs and their digital security, and collaborations with other municipalities at a tactical level.
• HBO/WO thinking level.
• Work experience as a security advisor, undermining advisor, or Youth and Security advisor with a focus on digital security.
• Experience working in a political-administrative context.
• Municipal experience is not required if you have experience in digital security within the business sector.
• Affinity with digital security and technology.
• A proactive, independent, and results-oriented approach.

For this role, visibility and physical presence at the office are important initially, but flexibility can be offered in the long run. Job interviews will take place live at the town hall in Amersfoort. Please take this into account.

Upon commencement of the assignment, the candidate will receive a laptop (and phone if necessary) from the Municipality of Amersfoort on the first day; working on personal devices is not permitted.

Assignment description

For the Municipality of Amersfoort, we are seeking a temporary Digital Security Advisor immediately. In this role, you will contribute to the digital resilience of residents and entrepreneurs, prevent perpetrator involvement, and enhance our knowledge of the risks and solutions related to digital technology.

What will you do?

You will work on issues at the intersection of security, technology, and society. You will connect parties, identify developments and risks, and translate them into concrete actions. The primary focus of this assignment is to jointly develop a Digital Security action plan for 2027 with partners. You will provide an overview of the necessary activities and prioritize them.
