DWH Developer / Data Warehouse Specialist

Project overview

For a client from the banking sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Specialist who will participate in the development, optimization, and ensuring the quality of the data environment.

Project requirements

• development and optimization of the data warehouse for the needs of the banking environment, data integration and reporting
• analysis of business stakeholder requirements and design of corresponding DWH solutions
• cooperation with DWH specialists, development and integration teams in the development of data architecture
• design, implementation and optimization of ETL/ELT processes, data flows and transformation logic
• creation and optimization of SQL queries, database structures and stored procedures in the MS SQL Server environment
• design and implementation of relational and dimensional data models
• monitoring of data processes, incident resolution, checking data inconsistencies and implementing data quality rules
• preparation of test scenarios, data validation, documentation of data structures and support for deploying changes to production
• cooperation with the BI team on reporting, data martech, metadata and adherence to security and regulatory rules
• cooperation primarily in onsite mode in Prague with the possibility of remote work by mutual agreement
• necessary experience and knowledge:
• at least 3 years of experience as a data warehouse specialist or similar position
• practical knowledge of MS SQL Server 2016+
• experience with SQL, development and optimization of queries on relational and dimensional databases
• experience with SSIS and development, testing and optimization of ETL processes
• experience with MS SQL stored procedures and implementation of business logic
• experience with data modeling, data integration and data warehousing
• ability to provide services in the Czech language
• readiness for primarily onsite cooperation in Prague 3
• other relevant experience with:
• development of reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• development of reports and dashboards in Power BI
• creation of Power BI semantic models
• analysis of business requirements for DWH and impacts of changes in source systems
• preparation of data testing scenarios and validation checks
• advantageous:
• experience with Power BI Report Server
• modeling and documentation using Enterprise Architect
• experience from banking or financial sector
• at least one year of experience as an IT analyst or similar position
• experience with data security, metadata, data quality and regulatory requirements
