Electrical Engineering & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

Project overview

This is a contract-to-hire assignment! For WMD Drinkwater, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer who can independently contribute to the engineering and realization of multidisciplinary projects within drinking water production. The assignment focuses on the design, preparation, and technical support of projects in the areas of new construction, renovation, replacement, and optimization of production facilities and pumping stations. The engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary project team and translate electrical engineering issues into executable designs.

Additionally, the engineer will support the execution of projects and provide substantive expertise for complex technical issues and malfunctions.

The external engineer will, among other things, be involved in:

Required Expertise

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Independently developing detailed designs for electrical installations;
• Preparing instrumentation and principle diagrams;
• Developing electrical drawings;
• Preparing consumption lists, instrumentation lists, and I/O lists;
• Performing electrical calculations, including cable calculations;
• Preparing budgets for electrical work;
• Organizing and ordering necessary materials;
• Providing technical support during the execution phase of projects;
• Coordinating with colleagues from different disciplines and external parties.
• Has completed an MBO-4 (vocational) education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• Has experience with designing E&I installations within an industrial or process environment;
• Has demonstrable knowledge of Eplan;
• Possesses good material knowledge within the field;
• Is familiar with relevant standards, guidelines, and safety regulations;
• Can work independently but also functions well within multidisciplinary project teams;
• Is accurate, proactive, and has good communication skills.
