Electronically Stored Information (ESI) Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking three ESI Specialists to perform hands-on recovery, repair, conversion, analysis, and reconstruction of email and instant message data in an isolated Microsoft environment. Candidates will support electronic records preservation and ensure compliance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards.

Responsibilities

• Recover, repair, and convert PST/OST files, including corrupt, orphaned, and unindexed files.
• Work with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and Skype for Business data.
• Inventory, process, and migrate electronic records within an isolated staging environment.
• Discover and recover instant messages and reconstruct email records.
• Generate data statistics, perform quality checks, and document recovery results.
• Prepare NARA-compliant email exports and preservation containers.
• Follow Government security policies and operate approved tools offline.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in email and instant message data recovery.
• Experience with PST/OST repair, forensic recovery, data carving, and conversion tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and Skype for Business.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong data validation, documentation, and quality control skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• High Risk Public Trust investigation required at the time of award.
• Signed NDA required.
