As soon as possible, 40 hours per week Duration: 6 months with option to extend Freelancer: Yes Location: Candidate is at the office in Amsterdam Westpoort at least 3 days per week Screening: Basic, VOG Dutch language The energy transition is impossible without you as a station work engineer As a station work engineer, you are primarily responsible for developing and delivering technical designs. You work within a multidisciplinary IPM team and coordinate intensively with the technical manager, environmental manager, supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will be involved in:

• Designing and developing new construction, renovation, and expansion projects for medium-voltage substations.
• Developing schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Analyzing project requests and translating them into concrete design principles.
• Preparing designs ready for execution.
• Coordinating technical designs with clients, programs, and project teams.
• Monitoring quality, safety, manufacturability, and technical feasibility.
• Identifying risks and proposing improvements.
• Supporting execution with technical issues.
• Ordering materials and contributing to cost control.
• Guiding and supporting junior engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team. You will work in a multidisciplinary IPM team with engineers, supervisors, project coordinators, environmental managers, technical managers, and project managers on substation projects with significant social impact. You make the grid more energetic You are an engineer who likes to take responsibility for their designs and gets energy from technical challenges. Additionally, you have:
• At least an MBO 4 diploma in electrical engineering, energy technology, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in engineering or work preparation within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Knowledge of medium-voltage substations and underground infrastructure.
• Experience with design development, tender analysis, and cost calculations.
• Good communication skills and experience in collaboration with various stakeholders. Safety certificates such as VOL-VCA and BEI VOP HS TR, or the willingness to obtain them.
