Enterprise Architect Finance / Domain Architect Finance

Project overview

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect Finance for our client, for a freelance mission within a large international group undergoing transformation of its technological ecosystem.

The company is currently reviewing its global IT architecture approach to better align its solutions with its business value proposition. The objective is to redefine a target "blueprint", clarify the roles of each stakeholder, establish a governance model (Design Authority), and foster a true community of architects.

In a context of strong growth in regulatory and financial compliance requirements, and facing an ambitious project plan, the major challenge of the mission is to strengthen Enterprise Architecture support for the Finance domain, with a particular focus on the "Procure to Pay" and "Record to Report" processes.

Responsibilities

Ensure the alignment of financial initiatives with the principles and standards of the global architecture.

Identify and manage architectural risks, technical debt, and inter-domain dependencies.

Collaborate closely with other Enterprise Architects to ensure end-to-end consistency.

Gather and analyze business needs from Finance stakeholders.

Organize and lead the Design Authority for the Finance domain.

Actively participate in tenders (RFPs) for the selection of new tools.

Design solution architectures that meet new business needs while supporting Tech Leads, project managers, and partners in this design process.

The work mode offers great flexibility with a hybrid or remote format, involving only very occasional travel (2 to 3 times per year maximum).

Profile sought

🔹 Expected seniority level: Senior profile with a solid foundation in domain or enterprise architecture

🔹 Typical experience: Significant experience in supporting financial departments on IT transformation topics

🔹 Previously encountered environments: Large international groups, demanding contexts, and complex matrix environments

🔹 Previously managed projects: Architecture redesign, complex financial system integration, RFP management

🔹 Mastered methodologies: IT mapping, technology governance (Design Authority), blueprint

🔹 Expected attitude: Pragmatism, results orientation, leadership, and strong consulting skills
