Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for an Environmental Counter Employee with experience in infrastructure, technology, or working around cables and pipelines. This role involves handling KLIC notifications from an office setting, acting as a liaison between applicants and Gasunie.

Project overview

Environmental Counter Employee

Do you have experience in infrastructure, technology, or working around cables and pipelines? And do you enjoy investigating, handling matters, and liaising with colleagues and field personnel from the office? Then we are looking for you.

In this role, you will have an important part in safely and efficiently processing KLIC notifications. You will be the link between the applicant, Gasunie, and the colleagues involved in work around our pipelines.

This role is well-suited for someone who knows the practical side of things and enjoys applying that experience from the office. You are curious about what is happening, investigate matters carefully, consult with the right people, and ensure that necessary follow-up actions are taken.

Project details

Groningen

Number of hours per week: 20-32 hours

Job grading: Business Support Employee 55

62 to 68 euros per hour

Application deadline: 16-10-2026

What will you do?

Your tasks mainly consist of processing KLIC notifications received via email and/or phone. You will be the link between the applicant and Gasunie.

After internal training, you will be able to carefully assess all activities taking place near a Gasunie pipeline. For this, you will use various (geo)graphic ICT information systems, allowing you to make a well-founded assessment of the notifications remotely.

Based on this, you will determine which follow-up actions are necessary.

In doing so, you will investigate matters, request additional information where needed, and consult with colleagues and stakeholders. You will regularly communicate with people in the field and know how to translate information from practice into the correct next step.

The safe location of the network is of primary importance to Gasunie, and in this role, you will make an essential contribution to this daily.

Additionally, as a team, we are the face behind the website:

https://www.gasunie.nl/omgevingsloket.

What kind of colleague are we looking for?

For this role, we preferably seek someone who knows the practical side of things.

You may have previously worked in infrastructure, for a contractor, or for a utility company, and therefore understand what is happening in the field. You understand how work around cables and pipelines is carried out in practice and can empathize with the questions and situations of people working in the field.

At the same time, you enjoy working from the office. You get energy from investigating information, bringing together different data, handling matters, and consulting with various people.

You are someone who not only processes a notification but also asks: What exactly is going to happen here? What does this mean for Gasunie? What information is still missing? And who do I need to involve? You enjoy pursuing these questions yourself.

What do we ask?

To be successful as an Environmental Counter Employee, you have a completed MBO (vocational) education at level 4 work and thinking level.

It is a significant advantage if you have recent and relevant experience in, for example, the infrastructure sector, with a contractor, or one of the utility companies.

In previous roles, you have demonstrated that you communicate pleasantly and clearly with various stakeholders and that you can communicate effectively even under pressure.

You have experience with KLIC notifications or reading drawings.

You are strong in analyzing situations, quickly form a good picture, and can translate this into clear and concrete actions for the supervisor of route activities.

Furthermore, we consider it important that you:

Independently take on tasks;

Easily make contact and can consult well;

Can switch between different stakeholders;

Work carefully and accurately;

Can distinguish between main and secondary issues;

Are not easily satisfied with an unclear answer;

Enjoy investigating matters and arriving at a good solution or follow-up action.

You draw energy from a dynamic role in which you accurately and decisively solve complex issues both by phone and at your desk.

You can be described as energetic and a proven, accurate, structuring colleague.

This role is for you if...

You have already gained considerable practical experience and want to continue using that experience, but prefer to do your work from the office.

You don't need to be outside every day to enjoy your work. You find it interesting to maintain contact with the practical side from the office, gather information, investigate matters, and ensure that the right actions are initiated.

You are someone who likes to take responsibility for the tasks you undertake and enjoys reaching a good assessment together with colleagues.

The role also requires someone who wants to delve into the field and the tasks of the Environmental Counter for an extended period. It involves building knowledge and experience that will make you increasingly better at assessing and processing KLIC notifications.

Application deadline: 16-10-2026 (10:00 AM)

Interview date: 28-10-2026

About Gasunie

Our network is high-tech and high-impact. With approximately 17,000 kilometers of Gasunie pipelines, 1,300 gas receiving stations, and hundreds of installations in the Netherlands and Northern Germany, we are building the energy infrastructure of tomorrow every day. You will work with colleagues who are curious about what they don't yet know and who want to continue developing. Safety is essential for us: for the technology and for the people. Together, we ensure a reliable and future-proof network.

About the department

Within Gasunie, the Assets & Operations (A&O) department in Business Line Methane Transport (CH4) is responsible for the management and maintenance of Gasunie's gas transport system and the guidance of projects. The BVL department consists of 30 employees. Hitting a Gasunie pipeline can have major consequences. At Safe Location Management, we therefore work in multiple ways to prevent excavation damage. Here, we monitor the undisturbed location and provide reliable data and information. You will work as a Route Activities Coordinator (CTA) alongside 13 other pleasant, motivated colleagues.

Do you want to take on this challenge?

Submit your CV and motivation no later than October 6th. Job interviews will take place at our head office in Groningen. Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.

Working at Gasunie means working in a professional environment that is constantly evolving. An organization with an important societal role. Together with all colleagues, you contribute to the realization of, among other things, the Energy Transition. Engineers, business developers, IT specialists, managers, administrative staff, and dispatchers, together and with the necessary energy, we are heading towards 2030. We want to achieve this with employees from diverse backgrounds, educations, and nationalities.

We are an organization where we believe that each other's differences, qualities, and talents make us stronger. An organization where everyone matters and can be themselves.
