With your energy, it can be done
In this versatile role, you are responsible for the environment during the preparatory (project management) and/or execution (participation) phase of a project.
You will ensure a participation and communication strategy, monitor issue management, and organize stakeholder management. You will safeguard the wishes and technical requirements that you gather from the environment for the project.
For extensive projects, you will create the conditions for optimal collaboration with municipalities, partners, fellow grid operators, and possibly contractors.
You are the point of contact for the environment for the project.
This is how you take on this challenge
For every project, you keep the right stakeholders engaged. You maintain contact with municipalities, project leaders, and contractors. Equally important: you involve the environment in the project and thus know who is experiencing inconvenience and in what way. From the outset, you share the right information in a suitable manner with residents, local businesses, and landowners who need to cede land. This can be by letter or with a residents' evening. But also by going into more depth during a kitchen table conversation with a resident.
What makes your job even more interesting is the variety of projects you work on simultaneously in different locations within Enexis's service area. From the new construction of a transport substation to a small adjustment in a voltage substation in a residential area. Regardless of how big or small a project is, you will always have a clear understanding of what could go wrong and what solution fits.
The most beautiful part of your role as an environmental manager is that, together with your colleagues, you make an important contribution to the energy transition in the Netherlands!
This is how you tackle it
You are solution-oriented and always have a plan ready to approach an assignment. And backup plans to respond to the risks you foresee. With empathy and a good political antenna, you know how to give all stakeholders the right attention and inform them at the right time. You are open to criticism, which you value and translate into actions if necessary. Collaboration is key to your success. You can be both decisive and vulnerable to achieve the desired result. You communicate clearly and concisely, maintain an overview, and gain energy from your coordinating role within Enexis and with the environment.
Furthermore, you have:
You have a relevant HBO or university degree, for example in communication, public administration, or spatial planning.
You have experience as an environmental manager, with several years of experience in processes and participation around area developments, preferably in large complex projects.
You have an affinity with (energy) technology.
You put your shoulders to the wheel with...
Your colleagues from the Energy System & Environment department. Here you form a team with colleagues with whom you work closely. Think of partners, strategic advisors, experts, relationship managers, spatial planning lawyers, and colleagues from land affairs. We are committed to supporting and stimulating regional authorities and municipalities in the process of developing plans for the energy transition and the spatial integration of the necessary assets.
We look forward to you joining our team: 'Building sustainable energy supply and involving the environment in it, that's what makes this job so great. And you do it with passionate colleagues who want to make something beautiful out of every project. That gives a project wings.' For every assignment, you are part of a project team. Depending on the phase of a project, you work with a project leader, a legal planner/urban planner, a permit advisor, and a land agent and one or more engineers. All professionals who understand the importance of connection with the environment.
They are therefore open to your input, advice, and ideas.
