Profile Sought:
We are looking for an expert BACULA profile, autonomous and immediately operational, capable of interacting with stakeholders who themselves have strong backup expertise. The mission requires both deep technical knowledge, analytical and consulting skills, as well as a very good level of communication to present and defend the POC conclusions. The objective is not to upskill the consultant on BACULA, but to leverage already proven expertise.
- Install and configure the BACULA technical foundation
- Configure agents, backup jobs, and restore mechanisms
- Test different backup/restore scenarios, particularly on several database engines
- Evaluate the solution's security capabilities: MFA, encryption, network segmentation, access control
- Verify restore possibilities in an isolated environment and associated resilience mechanisms
- Analyze the functionalities announced by BACULA, identify their potential limitations, and propose workarounds
- Prepare and execute a test plan
- Produce a Technical Acceptance Document (DAT) focused on technical prerequisites
- Lead workshops to present prerequisites and ensure the restitution of results to the Computacenter and client teams.
- Confirmed and operational expertise in BACULA
- Solid mastery of backup/restore environments
- Experience in BACULA installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of backup security issues: encryption, MFA, segmentation, access control
- Ability to intervene on various system and database environments
- Ability to technically challenge a solution, identify its limits, and propose alternatives or workarounds
- Good command of technical documentation, testing, and client presentations.
