Expert Consolidation IFRS — Freelance (3 months minimum)

Context

Our client is a fast-growing international player present in several countries. They are looking for a consolidation expert to take over and validate the group's monthly consolidation, then prepare for a full IFRS consolidation, while awaiting a permanent hire.

Profile sought

Candidates whose experience is limited to the recurring production of reports in an already equipped group will not be considered.

• Start: immediate
• Duration: 3 months minimum, full-time
• Location: Paris, majority on-site presence (1 day remote work)
• Working language: English daily, written and spoken
• Take over existing monthly consolidation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement), currently done in Excel
• Ensure multi-currency conversion, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliation of discrepancies
• Deliver reliable consolidated figures to the finance department within deadlines
• Propose and implement process improvements from the first closings
• Work with the IFRS team on consolidation rules and methods (business combinations, goodwill, scope changes)
• Contribute to the choice of consolidation tool: requirements gathering, vendor comparison, recommendation
• Document methods and choices so the system remains auditable and transferable to the future role holder
• Higher education in finance or accounting (DSCG, DEC, ACCA or equivalent)
• 8 to 15 years of experience in group consolidation
• Background combining an audit firm and a corporate consolidation role
• Mastery of multi-entity and multi-currency IFRS consolidation: intercompany, conversion, business combinations, goodwill
• Experience in setting up a consolidation function or tool; experience in a scale-up or a fast-growing tech environment is a real plus
• Proficiency in at least one market consolidation tool
• Fluent English essential, French appreciated
