Expert Illumio / Microsegmentation & Zero Trust

Project overview

As part of deploying a Zero Trust security strategy within a large international insurance group, CYNERS is looking for an Expert Illumio – Microsegmentation & Zero Trust.

You will work on a strategic program aimed at accelerating the international deployment of the Illumio solution, while supporting internal teams in industrializing and operationally managing the platform.

This mission combines technical expertise in Illumio, needs analysis, cybersecurity project management, and structuring operational processes.

Your main responsibilities

You will directly contribute to strengthening infrastructure security and industrializing a large-scale microsegmentation solution.

Profile sought

With higher education in IT, networks, or cybersecurity, you have solid experience in infrastructure security projects, network segmentation, and Zero Trust solution deployment.

You must have at least 3 years of operational experience with Illumio, combined with proven experience in IT or cybersecurity project management in complex and international environments.

Your dual technical and functional expertise allows you to design microsegmentation strategies while managing their deployment and integration into operational processes.

Work environment

You will work within the cybersecurity teams of a large international insurance group, as part of a large-scale microsegmentation platform deployment program.

You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, network, production, and business teams to ensure the implementation of segmentation policies and their integration into daily operations.

Technical and functional environment

• Analysis and design of microsegmentation architectures
• Conduct application inventory and dependency mapping in hybrid environments.
• Analyze application flows and identify segmentation perimeters.
• Define tagging strategies and associated governance rules.
• Design microsegmentation policies according to criticality levels and business risks.
• Contribute to the implementation of a Zero Trust architecture adapted to operational constraints.
• Deployment and industrialization of the Illumio platform
• Support Illumio deployments across different application and technical scopes.
• Conduct impact analyses and define deployment strategies.
• Prepare technical prerequisites and platform configurations.
• Participate in validation and pre-production phases.
• Contribute to process automation and integration of Illumio with existing tools: ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace, and SIEM solutions.
• Management of deployment projects
• Manage Illumio deployment projects end-to-end.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and scope commitments.
• Coordinate technical, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Monitor schedules, resources, and milestones.
• Identify and manage risks, incidents, blockers, and escalations.
• Prepare and lead governance bodies and steering committees.
• Produce progress reports and indicators for stakeholders.
• Structuring and securing operations
• Define operational and support processes for the Illumio platform.
• Formalize incident management and problem-solving procedures.
• Develop configuration standards, policy templates, and operational procedures.
• Define monitoring indicators: policy compliance, deployment rate, incident resolution.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the microsegmentation system.

• Prepare integration kits for new deployments.

• Train internal teams on Illumio functionalities and operational processes.

• Illumio: minimum 3 years of experience in deployment, configuration, policy design, and operational support.
• Microsegmentation: mastery of application segmentation architectures and Zero Trust principles.
• Application mapping: dependency analysis, flow identification, and perimeter definition.
• Tagging and governance: design of taxonomies, standards, and segmentation policies.
• IT / Cyber Project Management: minimum 5 years of experience managing complex projects.
• Industrialization: experience with operational processes, writing runbooks, and skills transfer.
• Automation and integration of Illumio with ITSM and security tools.
• ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace, and SIEM solutions.
• Hybrid cloud environments.
• Kubernetes and modern application architectures.
• Network security and critical infrastructure protection.
• Risk management and international project governance.
• Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
