Project overview

We are looking for a SolarWinds Expert – Supervision & Alerting to support one of our clients in the education sector in upskilling their teams and optimizing their SolarWinds tool for a long-term mission.

The intervention will mainly focus on the administration, configuration, and tuning of SolarWinds, with strong expertise expected in alerting.

We are looking for an autonomous and immediately operational SolarWinds Expert profile, with significant experience in administering and optimizing supervision platforms.

You have particular mastery of SolarWinds alerting and tuning issues and are capable of intervening in both technical aspects and team support and training.

You have good interpersonal skills, a pedagogical approach, and are able to advise the client on best practices to sustainably improve the use of the solution.

• Support teams in the use and administration of SolarWinds.
• Train and upskill internal teams on the tool.
• Administer and optimize the SolarWinds supervision platform.
• Configure, improve, and maintain alerting mechanisms.
• Analyze existing alerts and identify areas for improvement.
• Tune thresholds and alerting rules to limit false positives and improve alert relevance.
• Advise teams on best practices for supervision and monitoring.
• Optimize the tool's configuration based on operational needs.
• Support teams in resolving supervision-related issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform and monitoring processes.
• Confirmed expertise in SolarWinds.
• Very good command of the solution's administration and configuration.
• Expertise in monitoring, supervision, and alerting functionalities.
• Experience in configuring and tuning alerts and supervision thresholds.
• Good understanding of infrastructure, systems, and network environments.
• Ability to analyze an existing supervision platform and propose optimizations.
• Ability to transfer knowledge and support teams in their upskilling.
• Autonomy and ability to act as a referent/expert on the tool.
