Responsibilities

• Design the client's video surveillance infrastructure.
• Participate in integration projects for various security platforms.
• Participate in security hypervisor projects for the judicial and penitentiary sectors.
• Design security systems for telecommunications rooms and data centers.
• Ensure the follow-up of systems under their responsibility in terms of licenses, support periods, and end-of-life.
• Develop test plans and conduct test campaigns.
• Assess risks and take appropriate measures to reduce or mitigate them during maintenance and operations under their responsibility.
• Conduct technological watch in video surveillance systems (research, technical readings, participation in supplier presentations or seminars).
• Act as an expert on the various available solutions and present them to clients.
• Assist clients in choosing camera locations and types.
• Draft specifications for video surveillance systems and participate in public procurement procedures (AIMP).
• Ensure sector on-call duty according to the established schedule.
• Take charge of incidents on the video surveillance infrastructure.
• Document projects and sites.
• Master internal management tools (ITSM, Jira, etc.).
• HES engineering degree in computer science or telecommunications (Master's level).
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years as a video surveillance and building security engineer.
• 5 or more years of experience in the following areas.
• Commissioning of large-scale video surveillance architectures (over 1000 cameras).
• Integration of platforms with various enterprise IT systems (IAM in particular).
• Migration of complex systems (VMS change, uninterrupted updates).
• Experience with security hypervisors and related systems.
• Experience configuring access controls, intercoms, and alarm systems.

Nice to have

Required Qualities:

• Ability to interact with software vendor experts or server experts and guide a mandate.
• Knowledge of Milestone plugins and ecosystem (Interconnect, RTSP gateways, etc.).
• Skills in network, server, storage, and AD architectures.
• Successful experience within a Geneva public administration.

Job Description and Context:

We are looking for an expert in video surveillance and building security for a client, a public administration in Geneva, to strengthen its networks and telecommunications department.

The selected person will design solutions and lead security projects for the communication infrastructure sector: large-scale video surveillance, access control, security hypervisors, and securing technical premises. The position includes on-call duty according to the established schedule. Mission subject to client accreditation procedure. Long-term mission (up to 5 years).
