Jobbeschreibung

Seeking an experienced FEED Engineering Manager to lead the FEED engineering for future expansions of the Porthos CO2 infrastructure, including works for the Aramis project. This senior technical role involves managing multidisciplinary engineering teams in large-scale energy or chemical projects.

Project overview

FEED Engineering Manager

For Porthos, we are looking for an experienced FEED Engineering Manager. In this senior technical role, you will have integral control over the FEED engineering for future expansions of the Porthos CO2 infrastructure, including the necessary works for the Aramis project. A challenging position for an experienced Engineering Manager who is used to leading multidisciplinary engineering teams within large-scale energy or chemical projects.

About Porthos

Porthos CO2 Transport and Storage C.V. is seeking a FEED Engineering Manager. Porthos is a project to transport CO2 from industry in the port of Rotterdam and store it in empty gas fields under the North Sea. The CO2 transported and stored by Porthos will be captured by various companies. The companies will supply their CO2 to a pipeline running through the Rotterdam port area. The CO2 will then be pressurized in a compressor station, after which the CO2 will be transported via an offshore pipeline to a platform in the North Sea, approximately 20 km off the coast.

From this platform, the CO2 will be pumped into an empty gas field. The empty gas fields are located in a sealed reservoir of porous sandstone, more than 3 km below the North Sea. It is expected that the project will be able to store approximately 2.5 million tons of CO2 per year from the second half of 2027. Within Porthos, we work in multidisciplinary teams from the various parent companies EBN, Port of Rotterdam Authority, and Gasunie.

The Role

The FEED Engineering Manager will lead the FEED for future expansions of the Porthos system, including the necessary works for the Aramis project. The role will change after FID of the Aramis project to Engineering Manager in support of the execution scope of the Porthos project as part of the Aramis value chain. The FEED Engineering Manager is responsible for the development of the technical aspects of the future expansions of the Porthos CO2 infrastructure. Responsibilities include the organization, management, follow-up, and control of all engineering activities carried out by the FEED engineering team.

In addition, the role holder will provide support to the package managers in the development of the CFT (Call for Tender) process for LLI and EPC contracts for contract awards.

Key Responsibilities

In summary: the FEED Engineering Manager has integral technical control over the FEED engineering and is responsible for the team, design quality, interfaces, planning, risks, and delivery towards the next project and contract phase. The FEED Engineering Manager is part of the Future Integrations team and reports to the Future Integrations Manager. He/she will lead engineers in the Future Integrations team and manage both internal engineers and external engineering firms.
